The OnBikes Bike Build is Here!

This heartwarming event is one of our favorites each year, bringing the community together to assemble bikes for children throughout Tampa Bay who don't have them.

With every turn of the wrench and every carefully placed sticker, we help create unforgettable moments for kids in need, ensuring they experience the excitement and freedom that comes with having a bike of their own.

At ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ, we believe in the power of coming together to make a difference, and our Annual Bike Build Event is a shining example of that commitment. Thank you to everyone who joins us in spreading joy and building brighter futures, one bike at a time!

Celebrating National Food Bank Day with Move For Hunger!

±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ proudly partnered with this month to host a successful Food Drive in celebration of National Food Bank Day! We extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our branches for their incredible generosity and support. Your contributions have gone a long way toward helping those in need, and together, we are making a meaningful impact in the fight against hunger.

Through this initiative, we collected 438 lbs of food, which will provide approximately 365 meals, directly benefiting families facing food insecurity.

At ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ, we are committed to giving back to our communities, and this partnership with Move For Hunger is just one example of how we strive to make a difference. We're excited to continue our efforts to support those facing food insecurity and are grateful to everyone who played a role in this important initiative.

Our Thanks to Project Dynamo after Hurricane Ian

October 4, 2022

After the devastating impact of Hurricane Ian to the Fort Myers, Cape Coral, and Sanibel areas of Florida, was among the first on the ground to help rescue and evacuate stranded residents. ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ’s own Bryon Wheeldon was part of this brave crew of veterans who selflessly forged into the floodwaters to help elderly, disabled, and frightened residents trapped on Sanibel Island. , we get a glimpse of what they faced and the people they were able to help.

Following a hard weekend battling such devastation, a few of our Tampa sales team were honored to accompany some of the Project Dynamo team to the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday. While so many throughout the state of Florida and where Ian struck in the Carolinas have sprung into action to render aid to so many devastated people, it was our honor to thank these amazing veterans in this small way.

Kids on Bikes Go Places Thanks to onBikes

December 14, 2021

The Tampa Branch and Corporate Office were excited to partner with again this year for their Bike Build and Winter Wonder Ride events. onbikes is a Tampa-based non-profit organization that was formed in 2011 to raise funds so at-risk kids could receive their very first bike.

Our team joined other Tampa companies to build hundreds of bikes on December 3 and then celebrated with our onbikes friends at the 2021 Winter Wonder Ride event on December 10. Finally, on December 17, the main delivery day, our trucks will help deliver bikes to local elementary schools as we go Caroling with Tampa Mayor Jane Castor.

We're proud of the work that onbikes does every holiday season and throughout the year. It is an honor to be able to help them restore the self-confidence, health, and overall well-being of at-risk kids in Tampa Bay.

Shark Week Food Drive with Move For Hunger

August 1, 2021

±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ's employees joined our friends at Move for Hunger for the annual Shark Week Food Drive event. Tuna is one of the most requested items by food banks because of its high protein content. Our sixteen local warehouses collected tuna and other non-perishable food items to be donated to local food banks.

Our great friends at SharkBite Plumbing Products generously matched the 1000 pounds of food donated by employees with a $1,000 donation to Move for Hunger.

This friendly competition between our branches was won by the San Antonio branch with the most food donated (by weight per person). Way to go Team San Antonio! And a big thanks to all our employees and, especially, to Shark Bite.

Hope for Her Serving Women and Families

October 6, 2020

The Women’s Resource Center of Tampa opened in 2003 to help women overcome difficult circumstances like homelessness, domestic violence, unemployment, and substance abuse. Through the hard work of amazing volunteers and dedicated donors, the Center grew to become a major resource in the Tampa Bay Area for women and families in need. In 2019, the Center’s name was changed to Hope for Her.

±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ was invited to partner with this great organization to set up a beautiful, larger facility in Brandon, Florida. This new building includes a computer lab, private family suites, a kitchen, and a huge area for families to "shop" for items they may need such as non-perishable food items, clothes, purses, shoes, etc.

Follow Anne Marie ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺon this quick tour of the new building. To learn more about this amazing charity and the work they do to bring hope to women, visit .

Supporting the Uplifting Work of Elmington Elevates

January 25, 2019

Our Nashville team would like to introduce you to Elmington Elevates, a very special extension of Nashville-based Elmington Capital. Employees in our Nashville branch had the opportunity to donate to the 2018 Very Merry ToyFest party. The Very Merry ToyFest party. Our friends from Elmington made this a very special event for 300 students at the Carter Lawrence Magnet school. This is an impressive school with dynamic, dedicated leadership supporting a largely underprivileged student population. Elmington has also partnered with the leadership to identify top needs like technology and playground equipment upgrades that are not within their school budget but that would greatly benefit the educational experience of the children.

Elmington Elevates worked with local partners like ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ to raise enough funds to completely cover this wish list provided by Carter Lawrence's teachers. We are honored to have had the opportunity to partner with them and to show Nashville how much we care.

Helping Children Impacted by Hurricane Michael in Florida’s Panhandle

October 31, 2018

It is always hard to know how best to help when our neighbors face a life-halting natural disaster. When the need is so great, where do you begin? And when the infrastructure is so completely decimated, how?

A Specific Request Gave Us Marching Orders

±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ was alerted to specific needs of the children in the Florida Panhandle by Lara Edwards, the Mayor of Sopchoppy, Florida just south of Tallahassee. Many infants and children have been left without power as homes and schools in the path of Hurricane Michael have been damaged if not destroyed. The Mayor, with officials from Wakulla County set out to gather and deliver supplies to families from a distribution center established just to the East of the storm’s worst damage.

±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ employees in Florida and across the Southeast jumped at the opportunity to meet this immediate and very desperate need. Boxes of toys and books, diapers, and formula have been donated and delivered to Wakulla County for distribution. The need in the Florida Panhandle is great and it is ongoing.

Current Need for School Supplies

Officials in Wakulla County are now collecting school supplies for students impacted by the hurricane. Schools in Jackson County will reopen on November 1st and and all Bay County students are expected to return to classes by November 12th. Many children lost their schools supplies in the storm and that's exactly why there's a need. Donations currently being accepted include anything typically bought when shopping for back to school. These supplies will be given to students in 9 western Panhandle counties.

±¬ÁϳԹÏȺCares and ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ with Hatching Hope in Wilmington NC

±¬ÁϳԹÏȺCares! I mean really, really cares!

October 16, 2018

±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ is privileged to join the organization to provide relief to those in the multi-family industry. Hatching Hope fills a critical gap between first responders, and insurance (if present) for the residents that live in apartment communities. In catastrophic events they partner with local, state, and national apartment associations, vendor partners, and community support to fund the effort.

After the terrible flooding last year in Houston, we partnered with Hatching Hope to donate cleaning supplies and relief to those in the multi-family community. We have also supported their humanitarian aid and disaster relief efforts in other regional area events. In the words of Keli Lynch-Wright, Founder and Director of Hatching Hope, “±¬ÁϳԹÏȺCares! I mean really, really cares!”

Recently, ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ helped to deploy relief buckets to the Wilmington, NC area. All of the relief and recovery buckets were hand delivered to property management employees at communities affected by Hurricane Florence. Brandie Sciarratta, a Territory Sales Rep living in and serving Wilmington, worked tirelessly alongside the Hatching Hope volunteers to canvas the area and distribute supplies to communities in need.

Brandie is such an important part of the ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ family. Beginning her career at our corporate offices in Tampa, she was transferred last year to Wilmington to work with customers out of our Raleigh Branch. While her family was displaced and she spent weeks in prep/evacuation/cleanup mode herself, Brandie was anxious to get back to her customers and others in her new adopted home of Wilmington with relief and support. We’re all proud of Brandie and blessed to have her in our ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ Family.

"She [Brandie] is the most vibrant, fun-loving, smart, grateful, hard-working, loyal soul I have met in a very long time! I have made a friend for life and I love her spirit and passion to serve the industry that supports us all!” Keli Lynch-Wright, Hatching Hope

Looking Forward

We are working with Hatching Hope now to get some supplies into the Panama City Beach, Florida area. We will be helping to provide relief buckets for apartment communities and their residents impacted by Hurricane Michael in the coming weeks. Watch our Facebook page for updates and, if you’d like to help, .

Marcellas Gaines: A Passion for Work
Not many people work all their lives to retire—only to come back to work, but that is just what Marcellas Gaines did. Known as "Cello" around the warehouse, when he gave the OK for his photo to be used on the ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ, Vol 13 Catalog, he knew there would be some good-natured teasing from his co-workers, but what he didn’t know is that he would be asked to share his story in the first ever ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ Cares Feature.

Check out his story in the video below. We look forward to sharing more inspiring stories from your ±¬ÁϳԹÏȺ Family.
